Flowers in the sunshine

It was a lovely bright and sunny day although a chilly breeze blowing kept the temperature down. After faffing around with emails and stuff I eventually got into town mid-afternoon and took a whole bunch of photographs around Princes St. Gardens. I got a couple good pictures of Edinburgh, including the castle and Scott Monument bunch I though since I'd Blipped both of those several times before I'd go for this shot. The blossom on the trees is going now, it's falling from the trees and covering the ground like snow, so it could all be gone next time the sun is out.

The gardens are always well maintained and have some lovely bright flower beds, including the "famous" floral clock (although that hasn't been made yet this year). It's a great place to relax, sit and stroll right in the heart of the city. It's odd to think it used to be the Nor Loch and basically an open sewer as well as used to drown as many as 300 documented "witches", well actually if they drowned they were NOT witches! The odd thing is there is no running water although on some occasion of heavy rain the bottom of the gardens does begin to resemble a loch again!
