GUERNSEY GORGEOUS!

Today dawned bright and fair and what a difference - no longer Guernsey Grey, but Guernsey Gorgeous!

We were collected at 11.45 and whisked off to lunch at Cobo Tea Rooms by blip friend, KarenBourg, and her husband - and I even managed to put one of my Post-It notes on the till in the cafe! Then they kindly took us on a whistle-stop tour of part of the island - it's so good to be shown around by locals.

Karen and I never stopped talking (well, what did we expect and we needed to get to know one another) and actually neither did Mr. KB and Mr. HCB!

Took this shot looking down from the Mont Herault Watch-house to Pleinmont beach and the difference in the colour of the sky and sea to what it was yesterday is amazing. When the sun shines it just makes us feel so much more alive and of course, everything looks so much better.

There was so much to take in and we saw so many beautiful little coves and beaches that my mind is whirling but we had a great time and tomorrow is Guernsey Blip Meet day so we look forward to meeting more new friends.

“We are like islands in the sea,
separate on the surface
but connected in the deep.”
William James
