Whoosh!

That was the holidays wizzing past.

Decided I would go away, even if just for one night.

Van packed, coffee with J who called round, quick check things at home were all good then on the road.

It's a very liberating feeling, getting to the end of the drive then deciding whether to turn left of right.

I turned right and headed north.....which in these parts only lasts a short distance until the road turns east. The Kaikoura coast it was......same place as I stayed in the summer only this time, no-one else around at all.

Kind of nice to feel space and freedom like that.

I am so very fortunate to be able to do this kind of trip almost on a whim. So very fortunate.
