False Oxlip

We stayed close to the cottage today as mum wasn't feeling well and decided to stay home. So a useful opportunity to find out what flowers were out on the National Trust land adjacent to the cottage. Violets, a very minute cranesbill growing on the sand dunes (name not known at this time) and lots of cowslips and primroses and then this, which I felt was a hybrid of the two, even though I'd not seen it before. At least this one was in my fairly basic wild flower guide that lives in the car. Mum informs me that she's seen them growing in the wildflower areas at Brodsworth - so maybe I need a visit soon.
