the 1st bee...

...i've seen this year

hovering in spring blossoms - i'm wondering why there haven't been - very many - flying about - usually - there is an abundance of bees - flying around the blossoms on trees - is it because we had such a late start to spring - or because - we're finally beginning to experience the dreaded - lapse in bees - you know - how there was all the talk last year, i think - about bees being endangered and all - i hadn't really noticed it then - but now - hmmmm - they don't seem to be buzzing about so much - so - have you all seen a decrease?

then i saw a program - where some individuals in new york - were harvesting bees on new york rooftops - so they could enjoy their very own - honeycomb - i kid you not - showed 'em - putting on the big white suits - face masks - taking care with the bee colony's - for this very reason - of the decline in bees - well - plus wanting the honey - can you imagine, having your own, fresh honey - every day? i found it very interesting - and intriguing - i'm certain - for those people involved in the practice - it made for...

a

happy day.....
