All those fans for Top of The Lake yesterday. The Boss is Gobsmacked. WOOF!

The Boss announced today that it was no leaf day -1 or to the non informed there was probably only 1 more day of picking up leaves after today’s effort.
He have this wonderful old English Lime tree on our property and in the Summer it gives grrreat relief from the heat of the Wanaka day and the price of this comfort and visual delight is picking up the leaves in Autumn. You can see why Americans call this time Fall ‘Cos they do…The leaves…Fall… but The Boss has this cunning battery blower thingie that makes noise that I hate and blows the leaves into manageable piles. Leaves are a big deal here as we have some wonderful areas with Wanaka Station Park just 100ft away and there is a wide range of leaves of all shape and colour to run thru there. I must say I don’t much care about leaves altho sometimes there is hidden treasure below and The Boss is always annoyed when he steps on it too. I am of course completely innocent as all my treasures are deposited according to my training manual at random places around our lawn and then (at this time of year) hidden under layers of leaves for accidental discovery by The Boss later.
There was another potentially bad event today as The Boss discovered that the zip on his sling camera bag was politely non functional .B……d This means that he will have to contact his favourite photographic supply guy and this is the same guy who recently sent an email about bodies which The Boss has been ignoring until The Bossess travels away for work. I have a feeling that it may be too hard to contain this dialog to Sling Bags and bxxxxxxd zips should communication re-commence and I have additional concerns that MY bulk grub bag seems to be getting empty and would hate this issue to be compromised by a body…Not edible!

The B’s went out last night to Hawea where a photographer they knew personally was presenting about the Antarctic and Artic areas. The work was exceptional and you can catch a portion of this story here. Play the movies. Richard became a photographer and film maker when he was offered a position of Barman on a cruise ship some years ago. He does of course live in Wanaka (rarely) and we are incredibly proud of him.
