My day

Sydney

You couldn't miss this one for a blip of Sydney. We are staying in a caravan park about 15kilometres from the city. It took almost an hour to get there by car as the traffic was so bad, we felt after a few trips around today that we had spent the day in a car park. Sydney has poor public transport and a majority of people drive, this causes chaos on the roads.

Once we found a park and had met up with the family we caught a ferry into Darling Harbour which is a tourist area with lots of open public space, it is really lovely. The harbour is always beautiful and for once I was spoilt for choice as to which to upload onto blip. There were some lovely ones of the children and architecture but they will have to wait until another day.

This blip is taken from the ferry terminal north of the harbour showing the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House. If you look carefully you might be able to see tourists on top of the bridge, there is a Bridge Climb that takes you up there, but not for me as I get frightened of heights. I have walked over the bridge and also ridden a push bike. There are 8 lanes for traffic, 2 railway lines, walking and bicycle lane. It is pretty special. I have also been to the Opera House on a number of occasions. They have an opera hall, concert hall, and two others holding ballet, plays, concerts etc. it is also an amazing building.
