A Fast Drive in the Country

I've finally got through sorting my race day pictures from Spa.

As you can see the race day was totally different to practice day on the Friday with a bright sunny day all day. Spa Francorchamps is an awesome circuit with so much undulating terrain that the track climbs and the cascades down in a series of bends, before climbing again. The circuit is over 4 miles long and is quite historic, being based on some of the old roads in the area. It plunges through the woods of the Ardennes, so much different to any circuit in Britain.

You get to see the cars quite close going through some bends at pretty high speed, and you really get the impression of the speed of the cars, and their agility and ability to change direction at high speed.

Here we have the pole sitting Porsche 919 Hybrid racing through the woods down in to the Pouhon corner
