Deathwatch Beetle

Appearing from inside one of the Hostas. Don't know what sort of beetle this is but it was nice to get up close and admire the crab-like pincers at the front, looking even more fiercesome in large!

Apart from being up close and personal to a beetle (Hillyblips or someone to the rescue please, although I know its not a deathwatch beetle really!) there will be nothing exciting to report today as I'll just be gardening, window cleaning, cooking, ticking reminders off lists and preparing to pack!! Pity, as its another lovely day here, bit windy though.
