Osprey Top Trump

Yesterday I had a few photos that I thought were pretty good for using, while today you get one of the worst photos taken of the day. But it's not often (read never here) that you get an osprey on your local patch.

There I was, having already photographed the foxes, new cygnets, old goslings, new ducklings, and preening heron. I turned my attention to some gulls, when they all of a sudden went mental and took their cacophony to the skies. I scanned about expected a buzzard or sparrowhawk, but as soon as I get the camera on the fast-moving-away object of consternation it was clear it was an osprey.

Smiles.
