Wild Strawberry

A blossom big and
bold with hopes of a rosy

This was my day for painting in Salmon Arm. I stopped enroute for a few photos of Shuswap Lake. As I climbed a small hill to get a lookout I discovered wild strawberries in bloom.

In all my years I have found many, many wild strawberry plants but I have found very, very few wild strawberries. I suspect that the wildlife is far more adept at harvesting wild strawberries than I am.
