Wild

We went on our annual trip to Coylumbridge this morning, pausing, as is traditional, at the Highland Wildlife Park. There are many animals there which have been (or are) native; we just love the wildcats (Felis sylvestris grampia).
Sadly, there are only about 100 pure-bred cats left in the wild, gamekeepers have shot many, and feral domestic cats can interbreed with the remaining cats, so the captive breeding programme is vital.
This female has produced two or three litters of kits already, and may have another 5 or 6 years of breeding.
She is so fierce and gorgeous.
