Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

Emotional Rollercoaster

Thank YOU for all the "Blip" Birthday comments -- I will write about the celebration moment tomorrow because today was too full to ignore its contents.

One month ago today on December 5 we were at Jessica & Billy's wedding. Today we were at Jessica's grandmother's funeral at Forest Lawn in the City of Cypress. Afterward we went to dinner with the family at Lucille's Smokehouse Bar-B-Que Restaurant a few blocks away. Then we said our goodbyes to this family--they will all exit California tomorrow to head for Texas. Except Jessica & Billy -- they will leave to begin their honeymoon in Hawaii. They were supposed to do that 5 days ago on January 1. They had planned their honeymoon to be after the rush of the holidays.

We left the Long Beach/Cypress region on the 91 Freeway headed East toward home, but made one stop--at "Scott's Open Mic Night" at Java Joe's in Yorba Linda. Scott's just become a blipper. When we arrived great music was playing and the overall spirit was playful, fun, and happy. There were several musicicans "new" to us, and one of our favoites, Brendon. It was a good place to "dock" for 90 minutes before we came on home.

Now I'm so tired that I just keep nodding off, but I wanted to post this and not back-blip it tomorrow. Thanks for looking, for reading, and for those who have a moment and the gumption, for commenting.

I'm going to wake-up Mr. Fun (who is asleep on the sofa) and take him and my emotions to bed and hopefully find some balance as I sleep and wake tomorrow to a bright new day.

It's shortly after midnight, Wednesday 1/6/10.
Good night from Southern California.

Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
