Just Hanging in There

Yesterday, despite a heavy frost in the Meadowbank Vineyard, the leaves on these young grapevines were still a vibrant shade of gold. The frost has taken its toll and now they are withered, sad and brown. It will only take a day or so of strong winds and they will all have gone. The vines were planted last September. They have grown very well. No doubt they will have their first pruning in the near future as extra workers have been brought into the region in order to cope with the enormous task of pruning the vines.
Thank you very much to those Blip Friends who enabled my image of yesterday "The First Frost" to hit the Spotlight. I was very surprised but so appreciative of your support. Arohanui.
