Life through the lens...

By ValC

Not all poppies are red!

This is the gorgeous Meconopsis
The Himalayan Blue Poppy. and the star performer at RHS Harlow Carr, Harrogate today.

After a few days of rain it felt wonderful to be out and about again.
It is a while since we visited Harlow Carr, and wanted to see it before our visit to France.

As we walked through the woods there were still some late flowering rhododendrons looking magnificent.
One I particularly liked , a beautiful pink, was named " Cynthia".
I have put this in my blipfolio along with some other shots.
SEE HERE
This is especially for my blip friend Connections from the USA.
and these words too:

The kiss of the sun for pardon
The song of the birds for mirth
One is nearer God's heart in a garden
Than anywhere else on earth.

Taken from the memorial to Geoffrey Smith which is by the stream.

Hope you all have a great weekend.
