Bright

It was a quiet, grey, midge-infested afternoon for Benmore Gardens open day, but these flowers beside the ornamental pond seemed to glow even more brightly than on a sunny afternoon. We had body swerved the crowds and gone for a hike up the hill to the Chilean garden, where we saw no-one, coming down to the main gardens as the stall holders were clearing up and the visitors departing.

I got down on one knee to take this (sore, on the gravel path), but if you look closely you can see that the white rhododendron bush is reflected in the still surface of the pond.
