Well done Chester!

There has been just as much snow and ice in Chester as anywhere else in the UK, but the City Council has done a magnificent job clearing the street and pavements. It probably wasn't very sensible of me to climb up the treacherously icy steps onto the city walls to take this photo, but it does show that the snow is still lying, and the canal is frozen over in places.

The whole town centre is safe to walk on so although I only went in for a new camera battery I coudn't resist a good walk round the sales (surely a 70% reduction on a suit counts as a saving, not expenditure...)
