The Last of the Leaves

The leaves are disappearing from the willows down at the Taylor River. In the left-hand side of this image can be seen a distant vineyard. There the leaves have gone leaving a tangle of grapevine canes waiting to be pruned.
The silver pole seen in the middle of the image is a frost fan. These fans generally kick into action in the event of impending frosts when the grape leaves are budding in the spring.
Down on the river bank there are just a few willows valiantly hanging onto the last of their golden leaves. Winter is setting in…..
