Lest We Forget

I drove over to a tiny place in Hertford to meet a whole side of the family that I've never met before, as until recently they all lived in South Africa.

It was the most amazing day, getting to know all about each others lives and yet it felt as if I'd known them forever. I haven't laughed so much in ages.

Their garden backed onto a beautiful field of wheat and there was one lone poppy, waiting to be captured on camera. The only problem was, it was very windy and it wouldn't keep still. Therefore, I've had to use a photo that I took on my phone at 6 o'clock this morning whilst walking the dogs.
