Back in Gloucester Road.

We have had a full on day in Bristol. Grace and I spent the morning painting again whilst the men took the garden waste to the tip.

We left Chris and John doing some DIY jobs whilst we walked down the road to our old stomping ground of Gloucester Road (about 20 minutes away now) with its lovely, quirky shops and interesting eateries. We were shopping for utilitarian things for the house but couldn't resist the 'arty' shops that abound here. This one had a great Halloween display last October but lovely flowers in interesting receptacles today. The weather was very hot and sultry and we expected a downpour any minute but only had a few spots of rain, not the deluge predicted.

We had some tasty street food, and took this fun 'selfie' before getting the bus back with our purchases in time for all John's family to arrive to inspect what progress had been made in the new house. This included the 3 nephews all under 5 who had a great time making a fort out of empty removal boxes!

Grace had a Cat's Pyjamas gig for the D day anniversary, very appropriate as they sing 40's harmonies. We did a few more chores relating to curtains and tree pruning before another visit to the pub to meet up with Grace and then a lovely dinner made by John and Chris!

Finally I have found time to do my blip even though I had little time to take photos!

I'm told tomorrow is to be a lazy Sunday ( today now) I hope so!
