Grasshopper Cuddles Grassy Starwort

I've been playing with my ring flash today. I've had it a while but haven't used it much after it made weird circular reflections in jumping spider's eyes. I don't know how to use it properly. :(

By using it for this pic I have been able to get both the meadow grasshopper nymph and the grassy starwort flower in focus. I find that natural light gives dreamy backgrounds. They look a bit dirty to me with flash but that's probably due to user error. :)

I love 'hoppers and I love this delicate plant. The tiny flowers have five petals so deeply indented that it looks like ten. Lovely red stamens. Another name for it is lesser stitchwort.
