Fiery

"If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand." Daniel 3:17

So today we went for a cheeky Nando's as we do not know what to cook for dinner. We decided to get the wing roulette, which is 10 chicken wings with varying degrees of their peri peri sauce on. I won and got the extra hot one!! Hence the picture of my finger on this napkin!!

Of course the first thing from the Bible that comes to mind when I think of fiery things is the account of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego who refused to bow down and worship King Nebuchadnezzar, so he threw them into a fiery furnace as a punishment. The Bible tells us that the soldiers who brought them near to the fire were instantly killed by the heat an the flames, but Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego fell in and survived, which in turn made Nebuchadnezzar see that he was wrong. This also shows that God will be faithful to us, if we are faithful to Him. His words were very clear, do not worship any other thing except Him.
