GRIT

Tonight we went to see a play about the life and music of Martyn Bennett. He was my friend's cousin and made amazing music. He was quite exceptional and created different music, mixing really modern, clubby sounding beats with old folk and traditional music. Very sadly, he died in 2005, aged only 33, after a long battle with cancer.

Amber came with us to the play and really enjoyed it. The play was called GRIT, the name of his last album. By the end, I was in tears, as were many and the cast got a very long standing ovation.
