Defender of the castles

We left behind Wales today to start heading home, Pembrokeshire was a beautiful place and I highly recommend it if you love nature and the outdoors.

We stopped off on the way to admire the castle in the top left the castle of Manorbier a 12th century castle set on the beach, it is now privately owned but open to us mere mortals at a small cost of a fiver, you can even get married here if you so wish.

It's been used in many TV programmes including The Chronicles of Narnia. The bottom photo is Roo proudly defending his kingdom.

We travelled on for a few hours( seems forever in the old van) and reached a national trust castle called Dinefwr it dates back to 1170 something and lies now in ruins, but Roo enjoyed the long trek up to it and the playing with the rocks from it on the right picture.

Tonight a stop over just outside of Worcester then a nice short journey home to pick the rest of the chis up.

Another scorcher of a day......
