Capital adventures

Capital caper

Off to London (the OTHER capital) for the third time in 3 weeks. A welcome message from just allan meant an afternoon off in the sun.

We rendezvoused on the Thames Clipper at Tower Bridge pier and zoomed down to Greenwich. there was thoughts of visiting a museum, but rose wine (me) beer (Allan) in the brewery garden was more alluring and while he worked by phone I relaxed with the heady smell of star jasmine. Then it was back upriver by 2 boats to Vauxhall, under Tower Bridge again, more al fresco wine and conversation with one of Allan's colleagues before a 4th boat to London Bridge. What a wonderful way to travel.

The three of us made our way to 'The Old Red Cow' beside Smithfield to meet a second colleague and eat, drink and try hard NOT to watch the football.

Then after farewells I made my way back to Barbican and eat to Liverpool Street.

It was a lovely day.
