London 2

The reason for being in London was a 9.30 senior managers' meeting. It was a good meeting and there was quite an interested and stimulating discussion on the event that will take place 13 weeks tomorrow and it's implications for the organisation - and no, not the start date of our new Chief Executive. After lunch in Spitalfields there was time for a catch up with new colleagues in housing and IT before heading back to King's Cross.

The redevelopment of the station is pretty much finished and the horrible extension has gone and been replaced by King's Cross Square. I sat in the sun for a short while before heading indoors to buy the M&S meal and catch the 5 p.m.

The train was busy, I was tired. Despite constant announcements to the contrary the trolley seemed to disappear, only coming through once. We were 10 minutes late at Waverley and I took the easy way and grabbed a taxi, once I'd found where they have moved the rank to.

I'm back on the train to York tomorrow morning.
