Remembering at Glenfinart Bay

The Commando Memorial beside the beach in Glenfinart Bay, beside the village of Ardentinny, on a glorious afternoon. The sign next to it - low down in the shadow on the left - reads:

In memory of those who served in the Royal Navy Commandos, 1941 - 1945, who trained here at Ardentinny (H.M.S. Armadillo). For those who gave their lives and the survivors.

The memorial used, if I am correct, to sit next to a corrugated iron hut beside the track that leads to the beach, and was relocated after the building was demolished some years ago.
