Heart of a balloon flower

This is the heart of a platycodon grandiflorus or a balloon flower. I was rather hoping today was the day I could catch up with everything that I couldn't do for a week, but no, I had more visitors today. Very nice, but does mean I'm still lagging behind.

I bought this little plant two weeks ago to go on the garden table, but so far it has been staying inside and I did notice what a different reproductive heart these fowers have. Time for some close-ups !
