Come Into My Parlor

We think these black things are aphids, just because of the sheer numbers of them. But they also look a bit like ladybug larva, only they seem to have transparent wings. It certainly looks like more than a few will never make it to adulthood. I intend to keep an eye on things out there, although my bug quantity threshold has definitely been breached. One or two specimens are fascinating, but a swarm has a high ick factor.

I think the spider is Enoplognatha ovata, or Candystripe Spider.
