Sightseeing in Oxford

Here we are in the quiet morning hours, near the Bodleian library and the Sheldonian Theatre, before the larger groups arrived. Later we were part of a group ourselves, but it was worth it. Our guide was a knowledgeable local with a good sense of humor. More sightseeing, lunch, walk, walk, walk, a nice tea break, then back to our rooms.

This evening we went to see a student performance of 12th Night at the Holywell Manor. Like all college gardens, it's idyllic! Who wouldn't want to watch a play there? We thought the performance could have stood some more usability testing, however. When the evening birds and college bells started up, we could hardly hear. Or when the actors turned to the side. Or said their lines at all. It was not the Royal Shakespeare Co., let's just say.
