When Pigs Fly!

Dear Diary,

Friends gave me this weather vane many years ago. When I bought this place nearly 19 years ago, people thought I was crazy. Then, I'd hoped to have a little farm but that was not to be. What is that saying? "Life is what happens to you while you are making plans for something else."

This house has been the constant in my life. For 15 years it was a weekend and summer house but the last 4 years it is my full time home since my retirement. Now, it is not so much the case of "making plans" as simply living my life day by day, seeing which way the wind is blowing and setting my sails accordingly.
