Felicitys Wood

It was a bright sunny morning, so I decided to head out for a walk. I headed over to a new location for me which had been recommended to me. I parked in the Outwoods, and followed some permissive paths through woodland where I saw two Jays, and two Muntjac deer, and a Buzzard soaring, and then across some meadows before heading back into the woods, which climbed up towards Beacon Hill, which is the highest point in Leicestershire.

This is a view across Felicitys Wood, which was planted at the turn of the century and is part of the National Forest. I liked the isolated tree in the meadow, and the diagonal lines created by the slope of the hillside, the boundary wall, and edge of the woods.
