It was our friend Jim's 50th Birthday party this evening (one minute you're attending 18th's & 21st's, engagements and weddings, then in the blink of an eye it's 50th's, Silver Weddings and retirement do's!!!) so we got our glad rags on and headed off to Edinburgh to our other friend's Alan and Gail's house where we were meeting up with Ele and Kenny (you still following this? There'll be questions at the end! ;-)) for a pre-party G&T before all of us headed two doors along to the Party House.

Jim's wife Natalie and organised a BBQ (caterers who did an amazing BBQ with a gorgeous buffet of salads and accompaniments, and they did all the clearing up! Fantastic!!!) but unfortunately the weather wasn't great. No worries, the weather didn't dampen anyone's spirits and a brilliant night was had by all.

Unsurprisingly Surprisingly, Alan, Gail, Ele, Kenny and us two were the last to leave and stoat back along the road to Alan and Gail's, where we were staying the night. Very handy :-)))
