New Forest III

It was our last day in the New Forest organised by Ann as a treat for my birthday. And it has been a real treat. The b&b was excellent and the scenery stunning.

We went to visit the oldest tree in the forest, Knight Oak, thought to be 600 years old. Then it was onto Blackwater to have a walk around the arboretum. Finally we drove to Beachern Wood to see the horses on the common and take a walk amongst the trees.

So it was goodbye to a wonderful part of the country with a "we'll be back" promise.

The photo was taken in Beachern Wood. Nice larger.
