GOD DOESN'T KNOCK OVER FRAGILE PEOPLE

Great time of worship at church this morning - our sermon series at the moment is on the letters to the churches as set out in the Bible in Revelation - not an easy book but it has been very interesting hearing the different preachers we have each week and so far they have all been very good.

Stephen, who preached this morning was excellent and pointed out that in one verse it says "Jesus searches the heart and mind". He was telling us that God looks at all our thoughts and emotions - in fact, He looks at everything about us, even the very deep things we keep inside and maybe even try to hide from others and from Him.

To illustrate this point, he had a set of Russian dolls and asked his wife, Christine, to line them up on the Communion Table. While she was doing that Stephen told us that God looks for things that we are holding on to that have hurt us and that He wants to heal - in fact, God is the ultimate heart surgeon!

He then said some words that really resonated with me, so for anyone reading this who is feeling fragile and maybe going through difficult and painful circumstances, be encouraged, God won't knock you over.

Enjoy one of the songs we sang this morning - Lord, I Give You My Heart.

God doesn't knock over fragile people.
