Survived

The grapes survived the storm that battered us last night.

And I mean battered. Streets are covered with branches of all sizes and in a park near here lots of huge trees were uprooted. According to the local paper no-one was injured but the fire brigade attended over 300 calls.

The temperature stayed high though and, as a consequence, sleep was a struggle. I was shattered when I woke up.

We're due another storm tonight (right around midnight) and then the temperature is supposed to fall to 17 tomorrow. And rain is forecast for the next 3 days. That'll be nice. I may walk home and enjoy the feeling.
