Wine cupboard

Another lie-in this morning (I think I'm done with them now), then some pre-visitor tidying and more bookshelf building. Two sets of shelves done (with bendy wood necessitating the use of a very large clamp, and a knot breaking a drill bit) and one visitor arrived and departed.

Then just time to clean the small room formerly known as the electricity cupboard but soon to be known as the wine cupboard. (Shown above - tools soon to be evacuated to different accommodation.) It was full of rubble, dust, sand, and stuff. So much stuff that it had in fact turned into a sort of primordial soup, with all sorts of fungal and invertebrate life. I think we were only a few months and a decent gust of wind away from trees taking root...

Hopefully it will be dry in time for the wine racks arriving from Scotland (which are so monumentally heavy that we swore we would never move them ... 3 moves and counting...)

Grey day today - so nice and cool - but the rain doesn't bode well for it being dry enough for me to finish the jungle-hacking work in the garden tomorrow.

EDIT: totally forgot : I'm supposed to be asking Edinburgh blippers for recommendations of cool/different restaurants in Edinburgh to take a bunch of foodie Canadians to in a few weeks. Any ideas?
