Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

By cdsvfdcs

Lots of activity arrived!

The calm is gone. The grandsons are back! -with their parents (son #2 got some days off this week, yea!) and their cousins (their Mom’s brother’s daughters). NIk was happy to show them everywhere as this is their first time here. They played and played all day - boats, swing, walk, ice cream, Oskar baked a chocolate cake from scratch to celebrate the girls here, and the beach.. Lots of beach. -as who could resist on a day like today! These 4 are like a homogenous unit - they have grown up together as the girls’ Mom has been their “day care” since they were small - after school and summers. A lot of creative play! The girls are 13 and 11, the boys are 11 and 9. They even talked us into a small beach fire tonight as the sun set with not a breath of wind. (not supposed to have any fires because of how dry it is, but we had water and the tide will cover it soon…) they had such a good time smoking their “fish” on planks and roasting “seaweed” with ceremonies like their version of Native Americans… Haven’t even looked at all those photos yet - tomorrow will start a flickr set. H and I could get used to this —enjoy the kids but not have the whole responsibility…and they are all sleeping in the Tall house -Guest cottage! ….Still, it’s time for the old folks to go to bed too! G'night!
