Bowood 2014 #25

Arriving at Bowood at 1645 hr I had a look at the piglets, lambs and calf in Tractor Ted's Little Barn and then walked down towards the Lake on a path that cut through the wildflowers.

I could see a heron in the bay to the south of the Doric temple and decided to try to get close by walking around the perimeter of the grounds in wooded cover so that I would come out at the bay masked by the trees and be close enough to get a decent shot. This is the scene of the spot where I emerged, but the plan failed and with its indignant shriek the heron flapped away, followed by a second heron that I had not seen.

Later, on the uphill return, I spotted a solitary hare that hopped off before I got close.

Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb (recorded live, Live 8, Hyde Park, London, 2 July 2005)
Was this really nine years ago? This is the classic line-up of the band (Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Richard Wright and Nick Mason) on stage together for the first time in 24 years, performing Speak to Me, Breathe/Breathe (Reprise), Money, Wish You Were Here and Comfortably Numb.

"They were the only band not to be verbally introduced, instead a 10 year old called Rebecca used a piece of paper to introduce them. Rebecca then gave a soundman a thumbs-up sign enabling him to dim the house and stage lights before the introduction to Speak To Me was played." - Wikipedia
