Ruth Swann - Tainted Love (1975)
Everyone supposes that Soft Cell covered Gloria Jones' original 1964 version of this Ed Cobb song, Tainted Love, but after a listen to this it seems more likely that this is the version that Marc Almond was inspired by in 1981, although Gloria Jones recorded it again in 1976 copying the Ruth Swann arrangement.
