Clyde by the Clyde

'Clyde' is the official mascot for the 2014 Commonwealth Games, which start in Glasgow next Wednesday. In the last few days, models of Clyde have appeared at various locations throughout the city - there are 25 of them, each with a different design by local schoolchildren, on what the organisers have called "Clyde's Trail".

I had spotted and photographed (but not blipped) some on a brief visit to the city centre on Monday and, inspired by another blip, set out yesterday afternoon to visit Bridgeton Cross and see that one for myself. However, I've not used that one today. Instead I've blipped the one at Lancefield Quay, with the 'Squinty Bridge' in the background. The space-themed design of this Clyde mascot is quite appropriate as Glasgow Science Centre is nearby.
