My Aim is True

It's always enjoyable watching election results. Especially when the winner has to stand on stage with some of the comical eccentric also-rans. However as well as the comical eccentrics (loony party) there are the more sinister ones (Christian Party and BNP). It's a worry that more people voted BNP than Green.

During the speeches there is usally a bit of good humoured heckling. But the slow hand-clapping from the BNP supporters during Wilson's speech is just unacceptable as far as I am concerned. And not just because it's the BNP, it's just bloody rude.

Very surreal walk home tonight through crowds of wizzards, clothed in pointy hats and velvet cloaks. It would have been quite sweet if that were the kids, but it seemed to be mostly buxom matronly middle aged wifies. Good grief.

Thought I has stumbled in to a tribute ceremony to H Potter, however it turned out to be 3 students who had cleverly secured a chip-pan basket with masking tape to a broom, to enable them to sift through the drain in the gutter that had swallowed their flatmate's phone (I was most worried that they may again use said basket at some point in the future for chips). A little crowd formed ; me, chav mum and ned-in-waiting. We can all confirm that the smell from the sludge dredged up and plonked on the gutter was quite vile. No phone was forth-coming so I left. I took some blips, but they really didn't capture the desperation/humour/futility/ridiculosness/stench of the situation.
