The Chills

Oh what an evening. The Chills have not been to the UK for 18 years so tonight was a real treat. They played a selection of songs, including one of my top five songs - Pink Frost I got right to the front - actually at the stage so had a fab view. I was amazed at the drummers enthusiasm and passion, probably the best performance I have ever seen by a drummer. He was entertainment in himself.

We had every confidence that we would catch the 11.30 train home...... oh no we didn't. The 11.00 curfew was not as strict as we thought and they finished at 11.15. We ran for the tube, got squashed in the closing doors, discovered we were on the wrong train, off ran through the labyrinth of tunnels to the right train, but we needn't have bothered. Getting from the gig to kings cross in 15 mins was too ambitious.

So we bought a cuppa and sat outside watching the late city dwellers on their travels home. The gig was so fantastic it was worth it!
