Diamond Wedding

It was Lesley and Vic's Diamond Wedding anniversary last Thursday so we had cake (made by a church lady who makes lovely cakes for special occasions)with our coffee at church to celebrate. They also had a prayer said for them in church. Unfortunately Lesley fell and broke her forearm just over a week ago and also cracked her cheek bone. She's one of those people who is naturally cheery and positive, so took it in her stride and they have still managed to celebrate okay.

Today has still been hot, though cloudy. It was stifling in church this evening and we had to open an emergency door and put a fan on too, as well as opening the windows! I had to run the clavinova backing track music morning as well evening today as our morning organist was away. I stopped the track too soon on Make Way this morning and we had to sing unaccompanied for the last verse and chorus! Sounded nice though I told them! (You can't restart it because it does all the intro again!)
