Sunset medley

The farm might be drafty and a little run down. The red shagpile carpet in the lounge might be a little past its best. We might have cows and dogs keeping us awake all night and a cockerel doing his best to wake us in the morning. We might have quite a drive to work and to pick up the girls.

We're going to miss the farm though when we finally find our own home and move on.

Mr Barking has lived here for twelve years and it's going to be a wrench to leave.

We decided to take a day off together today. After dropping Miss AB off at school and staying to watch her sing in assembly (and be presented with the accolade of 'Student of the week' in her class), we headed into Sunbury to grab a coffee and hair cut for hubby.

Then we went for a stroll with Cousteau, when he really got to stretch his legs.

Home for lunch and a chance to clean out the pantry while Mr B washed Cousteau (who now smells wonderful!).

I did some school work (I'm trying to find resources for primary teaching - if anyone knows of any, I'd be very grateful to receive them!), did a couple of loads of washing and hung it out (with the help of my lovely hubby).

We headed off for another walk, around the farm this time. I took these lovely shots around the place as the sun went down.

We've had a great day together; the best weather of the week and a wonderful chance to hang out.

Off to bed now. Well, it is almost 8:20 pm.

Night all.
