Lifeguard On Duty

Just one of the changes to our beach during the Mexican summer holidays, lifeguards. He was still on the job at 19:00, keeping an eye on the surprisingly large number of beachgoers still on the sand. Hard to remember one short week ago when we were in Pátzcuaro wearing sweatshirts to keep warm, now we hard pressed to wear anything other than a swimsuit in the heat and humidity of Zihua. We find ourselves doing what most of our inland visitors are doing while they are here, getting in the water as often as possible. The ocean is a perfect temperature and our complex pool as warm as a bathtub. It is no wonder the beach was still crowded and this young man was still on duty.
