Bromeliad Billbergia - 3rd time charm

This is the 3rd time in 2 weeks that I have felt compelled to share this plant with you, a bromeliad growing in my front yard. Large is nice!

The larger photo and top right photo were taken this afternoon with my sigma 2.8 prime lens. Even though it looks so very different from the way it looked on July 17th when it was just getting ready to open or July 24th when it was in full bloom, I still love the flower of this plant. I think it is beautiful in every stage. Even when there are no blooms!  I guess it comes down to trying to appreciate what you've got, or maybe I just like unusual things . . . . thanks for being here.
