Hay bales

These seem to appear earlier and earlier each year.

I took a drive through part of Hertfordshire until I found this field. I thought I might be able to make a reasonable picture, so stopped and had a look around. Then I got out the camera and tripod and set up, took this trial shot, and then the sun (which had been out all day) disappeared behind a bank of cloud and didn't appear again. This was the only satisfactory picture I managed.

This was taken on Gore Lane, just west of the A10 between Thundridge and Puckeridge.
