The last in a little backblip series covering Mr Steviefish's stag do trip to Krakow...

There was the day before in Glasgow (which had nothing to do with the stag, but is a backblip); Hot in the City as we first arrive and get very... very... drunk; and Mr Fish being let loose with guns.

Today, again hangoverless, I was up at 7.30 (stirred by some Olympic quality snoring from a couple of our number, and driven on by a desire to see more parts of anywhere I travel to, even if it's a short trip with drinking and shooting as the main activities), and with the taxi coming to get us at 10am went off for another wander, taking in the old Jewish part of the city, Wawel Hill on which Krakow's castle stands, and various little nooks and crannies. Returning at 9, expecting most to be up and about, the apartment was still in darkness, and the snoring unabated, so another half hour was spent on a mini-wander and a coffee/muffin combo in a nearby cafe.

And so later, all intact (just about) we were back on a Sleazyjet flight home, and after a morning trawling round the faded glory of Eastern Europe I was, a few hours later, picking out seeds with Mel at Mortonhall Garden Centre. Life seems to err on the side of surreal every now and then.

Anyway, off work tomorrow (woo hoo!) and planning on working on my website with the free time, as well as meeting Mel for lunch. Which seems a delightfully relaxed way to get back into real-life. It really was a great fun weekend, with a good bunch of guys (considering I only knew the groom before going away with this lot), and I can only thank Stef's friend, and best man, Conan for such impeccable organisation, and Stef for inviting me...

And I'm not just saying that given the image for yesterday's blip and fear for my own life...
