at home with an Ivysaurus

First steps

Ivy is getting to be bit of a pro at standing up unsupported. She took a couple of steps today- the most she mangaed in a row before falling over was 4. Once again she got over excited about taking steps and was trying to move forward before properly standing up- but I don't think she's very far off mastering it.

Busy day today- I was finishing some suckpads in the morning, and then Euan, Ivy and I went to see sheepdog trials (Euan was convinced to go when I pointed out that Ivy loves dogs...) she spent alot of the time trying to convince a big shaggy dog to come to her for petting, by shouting 'dog' at it and doing her 'miaow' impressions.

In the afternoon the Hamlets came round for chai tea (made on the stove the proper way) which is where Ivy was showing off her standing.

We gained two more Tracey's in teh evening- Grandma and Grampa stayed on an extra day which meant 6 Traceys (including Ivy) round the dinner table. Which was okay- but very loud. Euan made a lovely dinner of balsmic vinegar glazed pork and yummy beans.

Not enough space round the table for Ivy to have her own chair- so took off her booster chair and sat in beside her desk- she used it as a set of steps to climb up...

After dinner Euan, Uncle Nial, Ivy and I went to a party in Becky's garden where she'd set up a tent. Sitting in a tent, drinking in the rain and what was heading towards a gale was the auntentic festival experience. Ivy was awake for a bit- and then went to sleep on my front in the half buckle wrap- I even managed to sit down on the ground without waking her up. Got home about 11.30am and after a quick feed she went to bed again no problem.
